Invited Speaker Information

 

  • All invited speakers are required to pre-register for the conference in order to reserve a place at the conference site and to secure lodging.  If you register less than three (3) weeks before the conference we cannot guarantee lodging will be available. Speaker Registration Form

  • Speakers are expected to cover all registration and travel expenses prior to the start of the conference. Air and ground travel arrangements are the responsibility of the speaker.

  • Reimbursement will be made after the conference. Prior to the conference, the amount of reimbursement is unknown.  During the conference, the organizers will determine the amount of reimbursement.  The amount set aside is based on the total amount of money in the individual conference account.

  • Invited speakers are required to enter an access code to complete the registration form. It will be included in your registration materials.

  • Invited speakers are required to submit an abstract of their presentation as part of the online registration process. It will be included in the materials that are distributed at the conference. Abstract Submission

  • The FASEB Summer Research Conferences Advisory Committee has established the following policy:

All invited speakers ARE REQUIRED to remain at the conference three (3) full days and three (3) full nights in order to receive any reimbursement of expenses.

Therefore you must check-in with the on-site FASEB staff at the FASEB Registration Desk (not the hotel's front desk) by 12:00 NOON on Tuesday. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • If you plan to bring more than one guest or children under the age of 12, you will need to make reservations off-site and pay the off-site registration fee.

Presentation Requirements

  • Speakers must bring their own laptop. FASEB does not provide laptops.

  • An LCD projector will be provided (PC and MAC compatible).

  • We request that all speakers use PowerPoint (or a similar program) for their oral presentations.

  • Plan to arrive at the meeting room prior to your session to allow time to set up and test your computer with the projector.

  • Other equipment available on-site will include:

    • a laser pointer

    • a lapel microphone

    • aisle microphones

    If you require equipment that is not listed,
    contact your organizer to make arrangements.

  • Please be aware of the time allotted to each speaker and adjust your presentation accordingly.
