Speaker Resources

The following information is only applicable to invited speakers and session chairs. Invited speakers receive advanced invitations from FASEB and the meeting organizers to participate in the meeting.

Invitations to speak based on abstract submissions are considered to be "Short Talk" speakers. The following information is not inclusive of this category of presentations.

Registration Process

All invited speakers and session chairs must register using the password provided in the official email invitation sent by FASEB.

Speakers and chairs should complete registration, pay and submit an abstract for the conference at least two months prior to the conference. Session chairs who are not presenting are not required to provide an abstract during the registration process.

Speaker Requirements

Invited speakers and session chairs are expected to:

  • Register and pay for the conference at least two months prior to the start of the conference.  
  • Submit an abstract of their presentation during registration (Not required for non-presenting session chairs).
  • Check-in onsite at the meeting and remain at the meeting a minimum of at least three full days and three full nights in order to be reimbursed for any conference-related expenses.
  • Respect the time allotted to each speaker and adjust presentations accordingly.

Speaker Reimbursement

Expense Reimbursement Availability

Expense reimbursements are contingent upon external funding availability and are therefore not guaranteed. If funding is available, the final amount allocated to each speaker and/or session chair will be at the sole discretion of the organizers.

FASEB’s role is to efficiently manage the reimbursement process for the FASEB SRCs. The amount available for expense reimbursement is unknown prior to the start of the conference. FASEB will only reimburse lodging costs up to the cost of the conference hotel (group rate) for the number of nights scheduled for the meeting.
 

Reimbursement Eligibility

To qualify for reimbursement, you must:
  • Register for the conference at least two months before the meeting.
  • Check-in at the registration desk on-site for the event.
  • Stay a minimum of three (3) full days and three (3) full nights.
  • Present your talk (speakers) or conduct your sessions as scheduled (session chairs).
 

Reimbursement Process

FASEB staff will reach out to you approximately one month prior to the start of your meeting with instructions on how to apply for reimbursement. Please notify FASEB if your email address or reimbursement address changes from the time that you register for the conference.

Presentation Requirements

The following audio visual equipment will be provided by FASEB:

  • One (1) presentation laptop (Windows)
  • One (1) lectern
  • One (1) wireless lavalier microphone
  • One (1) wired lectern microphone
  • One (1) LCD projector
  • One (1) screen
  • One (1) laser pointer and/or remote mouse
  • One (1) wired aisle microphone
  • One (1) switcher panel
  • Wireless internet in the General Session room


For speakers using a MAC computer, please bring the appropriate adapters necessary to connect the laptop with the projector. Speakers should arrive at the meeting room 30 minutes prior to the session to allow time to set up and test the computer and projector. Presentation ratios 16:9 or 4:3 are both acceptable, although 16:9 is preferred.
