Founded by Vikings in the 9th century, Dublin is the capital of Ireland and now one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Trinity College Dublin is perfectly situated within the city center offering easy access to the main downtown shopping area. Dublin is a walkable city, but you are never too far from a city bus or station that will bring you to the many of the nation’s treasures, housed in the city's galleries and museums and is where some of the most important events of Ireland were played out, most notably the Easter Uprising of 1916. Trinity College Dublin is also home to some of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures: the Book of Kells, the Old Library and the Science Gallery.

Throughout June, temperatures in Dublin average 64°F/49°F. It is recommended that clothing be layered to accommodate changing weather patterns and instances of rain.
