Below are some of our most frequently asked questions.

International Attendees

Immigration Policy

Due to changes in visa/visitor policies, please contact either the United States State Department or your local consulate if you have questions regarding your ability to attend an SRC. Individuals who are denied entry into the US for the purpose of attending a FASEB SRC should contact the SRC office with their specific circumstances and inquiries.

How can I get a Visa letter to attend the conference?

During the registration process, you may request a Visa letter. The letter of invitation will be attached to your confirmation email when your payment has been processed by the online system. If you have any further Visa needs, contact the SRC office.

What should I do if I am registered and am not able to receive a Visa in time to attend the conference?

If you are concerned that you will not receive your Visa in time for the conference, please contact the SRC office. If you notify us before the conference cancellation deadline, we will refund your registration fee less the $300 USD cancellation fee. Your registration fee will not be refunded if the cancellation request is received after the conference cancellation deadline. Email your request to cancel your participation.

Abstracts & Posters

What is the photography policy?

Photographs or video recording by attendees/speakers during any portion of a FASEB SRC conference is prohibited without prior written permission of the author/presenter, organizers, and FASEB SRC staff.

Do I have to submit an abstract with my registration?

No, submitting an attendee abstract is optional unless you want to be considered for a poster session or a short talk.

Can I register now and submit my abstract later?

Abstracts can only be submitted as part of the initial registration process. You may return to your abstract later to make modifications up to the day before the start of the conference.

Can I register and submit my abstract after the advance registration deadline?

Yes, as long as there is space available at the conference.

If I’ve submitted an abstract, will I present a poster?

Yes. The time for your poster presentation will be listed in the program agenda and can be found on the My Essentials online resource portal.

How large are the poster boards? Do I need to bring my own pushpins?

Typically, poster boards measure 4 ft high by 8 ft wide in the United States (this may vary depending on location). Poster numbers and pushpins will be provided.

Have I been selected to give a short talk at the conference?  Will I still present a poster?

If you have been selected to give a short talk, the conference organizer(s) will send you an email invitation to present a short talk within 30 days of the conference. You will also be assigned a poster location during one of the poster sessions.

Will my abstract be printed?

All abstracts and program materials will be available through a private, conference-specific, My Essentials online resource portal.

Child & Family Care Resources

What child care and/or family resources are available?

Although FASEB does not directly provide child care services, attendees are welcome to have guests accompany them to the conference to provide such care. The venue will provide assistance to attendees regarding child/family care issues or concerns directly. Attendees are encouraged to contact FASEB with any special needs that they may have.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be emailed to src@faseb.org. Cancellations that are received by the conference deadline will receive a full refund less a $300 USD cancellation fee (excluding VAT). See the cancellation deadline date for your conference. There will be no refunds issued if your request to cancel is received after the conference cancellation deadline.

I cannot attend the conference; can I send someone in my place?

Registration substitutions are at the discretion of the conference organizer. Please contact the FASEB SRC office.

Where can I find information for Invited Speakers and Session Chairs?
