Science Research Conference Awards and Travel Grants

Noa Noy Memorial Fund Travel Award Opportunity

Summary

The Noa Noy Memorial Fund is dedicated to enhancing the scientific careers of promising early-career scientists by providing funding for participation at FASEB's 5th International Conference on Retinoids. Awards will be merit-based and selected based on early submission of abstracts.

Dr. Noy was an avid and dedicated educator. She was a mentor and advisor to numerous students and trainees whom she treated as her family, and went to great efforts to support their growth and success. We established a fund in Noa’s name to support the participation of promising   students and postdoctoral trainees at Noa’s ‘home’ society, the FASEB International Conference on Retinoids. Federal Awards

FASEB encourages the participation of women, underrepresented minorities, and junior trainees at each Science Research Conference (SRC). Over 90 percent of SRCs apply to and receive federal conference grants that support junior and underrepresented scientists’ attendance to SRCs. Many SRCs also receive private and non-profit funding for travel and poster awards.

The availability of financial support and awards varies by conference and is contingent upon funding. In addition, most SRCs provide Travel, Poster, or Short-Talk Awards. The awards are generally based on the quality of submitted abstracts, poster presentations, or oral presentations and typically range from $250-$1,000.

Attendees will automatically be considered for financial support when they register and are encouraged to select "I wish to be considered for a conference Award/Grant" when registering. There is no application form for awards provided at the conference.
