Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre is an oceanfront property with guestrooms, oceanfront chalets, and seaside villas situated in the community of Western Shore in Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore region. The South Shore area also boasts jogging and cross-country ski trails, boat cruises, sailing, golfing, and sandy beaches.

The average summer temperature in Nova Scotia, Canada is a high of 82°F (28°C) to a low of 57°F (14°C).

Air Travel

The Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is approximately 88.6 kms (1 hour and 10 minutes) from the Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre. 

Shuttle Service

Note: It is highly recommended that you call to reserve your car well in advance, since some local events have been known to create a rental car shortage.

If you registered as “Registration w/o Lodging,” there are no hotels near the Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, but you may find an Airbnb nearby. 

Child & Family Care Resources

Although FASEB does not directly provide child care services, attendees are welcome to have guests accompany them to the conference to provide such care. Registration without lodging is available at all conferences to accommodate those with special family care needs. The venue will provide assistance to attendees regarding child/family care issues or concerns. Attendees are encouraged to contact FASEB with any special needs that they may have.
